Pakistan’s Bank AL Habib has launched a POS acquiring business in an exclusive collaboration with Wemsol. Bank AL Habib has become the fifth bank in Pakistan to enter the acquiring business. It has named the business as ‘Keenu’. The bank plans to extend its operations to major metropolitan cities and many rapidly growing cities. It feels there are significant opportunities to bring the customers in such cities into the financial system and enable them to use electronic banking channels for their financial needs. The bank has 564 branches, and is the 7th largest bank in Pakistan in terms of total assets and deposits. Keenu is a payment network brand of Wemsol that offers one-window payment solutions.
