Bandhan Bank has opened its 700th branch in Kolkata. The bank is consistently trying to expand its footprint across the country. Bandhan Bank, which commenced operations on August 2015 with 501 branches, 2022 doorstep service centres (DSCs) and 50 ATMs across 24 Indian states, now operates across 29 states and Union Territories through 3082 touch points consisting of 700 bank branches, 2142 DSCs and 240 ATMs catering to 8.9 million customers. Since its launch, the bank has mobilized close to Rs 15,000 crore deposits, while its outstanding loan book is worth Rs 16,000 crore. The bank has a total of 21,200 employees with it. Bank’s MD and CEO Chandra Shekhar Ghosh said the bank is happy to have 700 branches in less than one year. The bank will maintain the momentum by increasing footprint nationally to serve many more millions of customers, he said.
