Bandhan Bank and Standard Chartered Bank have joined hands to launch a co-branded credit card in India. The credit card would be offered to 40 lakh savings bank account holders of the bank across the country. While Standard Chartered Bank will take the credit risk, Bandhan Bank will be responsible for identifying and issuing cards to its customers. Zarin Daruwala, CEO, Standard Chartered Bank-India, said Bandhan’s CASA growth over the last 4 years has been one of the factors leading to the collaboration. This will be the bank’s first co-branded card with any other bank. The co-branded card will have 3 variants: One for the mass market; Plus, for the affluent segment; and Xclusive, for the premium segment.
