Bandhan Bank is planning to open 180 new branches by March 2017 with an aim to build a pan India brand, according to the bank’s MD and CEO Chandra Shekhar Ghosh. Currently the bank has 670 branches and would go up to 850 when new branches come to existence. He said the majority of the branches would be opened outside West Bengal. The bank have aimed to open up branches at deposit pockets in the country. The bank is doing a branding as a pan India bank. It will be done in a new way at ground level. By next March the bank will be opening up around 180 new branches, Ghosh said.
