Axis Bank hosted a unique ‘Jobex’, an exclusive mega job fair, to provide an employment platform for the retired personnel and children of Delhi Police. Some 100 corporates participated in the fair and interviewed jobs aspirants and offered jobs to those selected. More than 8500 candidates were provided with registration forms, and the completed forms were uploaded on an online portal which the hiring companies could access, identify and select candidates for potential job interviews. Of these, over 6500 candidates were selected for interviews and upon completion, the selected candidates were offered job letter. The event was co-sponsored by Max Life Insurance. Suchana Patnaik, president-Police Families Welfare Society, Delhi, inaugurated the event at the police training ground, Kingsway Camp. Amulya Patnaik, commissioner of Police Delhi, said the effort has helped the Delhi Police community by creating jobs for wards of serving and retired personnel. Nuti Chakravathy, head, Regional Branch Banking, North, Axis Bank, said the job fair is to further extend the bank’s gratitude to the forces by providing them with a platform for employment opportunities. The bank had also hosted similar Jobex fair for Mumbai Police in June, which was attended by over 1000 participants and 20 corporates.
