Customers of Axis Bank can now use a mobile app and select the locker options at their preferred branches. Customer can either manually chose the branch or use the geo-selection option in the app. After the selection of locker, the customer will be directed to the booking page, which is integrated with the savings account to make the annual rent payment of the locker. The customer needs to visit the branch in 7 days to claim the locker. In case of unavailability of locker in the preferred branch, the customer will be directed to the waitlist module, wherein she/he will be provided the waitlist number. The overall process is updated on a real time basis, offering customers transparency and simplified banking experience. Launching the facility, Rajiv Anand, group executive and head – Retail Banking of the bank, said the bank is the first to introduce digital solutions for booking lockers that offers transparency and simplicity. According to the bank, the pan India locker occupancy of lockers is around 72%.
