Central Bank of India received Banking Excellence Awards in two categories – Eco-technology Award (runner-up) and a jury award for New Initiatives at a function organized by Chamber of Indian Micro Small & Medium Enterprises. Montek SIngh Ahluwalia, deputy chairman of the Palnning Commission, presented the award to B. Mondal, CGM of the bank in New Delhi. Minister of state for finance J.D. Seelam and Arun Maira, member, Planning Commission, were also present on the occasion.
