Ashish Singhal has taken charge as the Managing Director & CEO of SVC Bank from September 1. He replaces Ajit E Venugopalan as MD.
Singhal is a business leader with experience in strategy, technology, sales and marketing, business intelligence and analytics, product and portfolio management, customer experience and engagement management. Over the last two decades he has successfully built new businesses and taken existing ones to new heights. He has led large, cross-functional teams across banking, insurance, telecom and automobile industry. He has been involved in the starting up of operations ranging from retail and corporate distribution network, online and direct-to-customers channels, telemarketing, cross-sell strategy, structured finance business, credit bureau, sale of non-performing assets (NPA), CRM, campaign management, customer value management, BPO operations, data warehouse, analytics practice and developing embedded technology solutions for customers.
Singhal has experience of handling multiple products in the banking domain like deposits, investments, insurance, loans, trade business products, SME and business lending, credit cards and other payment solutions. He is also a start-up evangelist and a strategic investor.
He has earlier worked in India Santa as an advisor, Experian Credit Information Company of India as MD, and ICICI Bank as Head, Internet Banking & Artificial Intelligence. He has done PGDBA in marketing with finance from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) and mechanical engineering from Delhi College of Engineering.
