Andhra Bank is planning to have better pan-Indian presence. As part of this plan, of the 2,500 branches it is expecting to have by the end of this financial year, 1,000 are to be opened outside Andhra Pradesh and Telengana. The bank’s CMD C.V.R. Rajendran said the bank plans to establish 500 branches in other states and expand the operations at the national level, soon. He said the bank was one of the nine in the country to be identified as ‘efficient’ by the government to infuse additional funds.
