Ameris Bancorp, the holding company of Ameris Bank, said it has completed the acquisition of 18 Bank of America banking centers in southern Georgia and northern. This acquisition increases Ameris Bank’s total assets to approximately $5.4 billion. It has also increased the bank’s customer base. The bank, headquarterd in Moultrie, now has 104 full service banking locations, in addition to eight mortgage-only locations throughout its Southeastern footprint.
