HDFC ERGO General Insurance Company and Accenture have signed a multi-year application outsourcing agreement, under which Accenture will develop, implement and manage a range of existing digital applications for the insurer. Accenture will maintain and upgrade HDFC ERGO’s existing digital channels, including web portals and mobile applications. Accenture will also develop analytical models to help the insurer better adapt its sales strategy according to its customers’ evolving needs. Mehmood Mansoori, a member of the executive management and head of IT, customer experience management, strategy and marketing for the company, said in line with its objective of growing its direct retail business, the company want to make sure it offers its customers the best digital experience as possible, including a seamless interaction across all channels. Accenture has helped HDFC ERGO establish its digital foundation by implementing a data warehousing and business intelligence framework, under a separate contract signed in 2011.
