ABN Amro to have new CEO

ABN Amro Bank will have a new CEO. The bank’s supervisory board has appointed Robert Swaak as CEO of the bank for a 4-year term. He will succeed Kees van Dijkhuizen during the bank’s AGM in April 2020. Swaak is the former chairman of the board of management of PwC-Netherlands. He has also held various executive positions at PwC Netherlands, including CFO, COO and CHRO. He was part of PwC’s Network Leadership team until 2017, responsible for global clients and industries. At present, he is Global Relationship Partner, responsible for a number of global clients. ABN Amro Bank said Swaak will focus on further refining and implementing the bank’s strategy, with a view to building a future-proof bank with a feel for what’s going on in society and an eye and ear for clients, employees and investors.
