Two senior managers of Axis Bank have left the bank to join Piramal group’s NBFC unit. Jagdeep Mallareddy, who heads retail assets at the bank and Sunit Madan, who is executive vice president for retail credit underwriting, have quit to join the Piramal venture where their former boss Jairam Sridharan, is now heading the consumer finance business. Jairam Sridharan has taken up the task of diversifying Piramal’s NBFC into different retail products. Both Mallareddy and Madan had worked with Jairam Sridharan when he was in charge of retail assets at Axis Bank. He was also holding the position of CFO of the bank when left the bank to joins the Piramals in 2019.
