UCO Bank is celebrating its 75th Foundation Day. Finance minister Arun Jaitley inaugurated the event where Rajiv Kumar, secretary, Financial Services, Ravi Krishna Takkar, MD & CEO of the bank and other dignitaries were present. Jaitley complimented the bank for its various digitization initiatives. Takkar, who addressed the gathering on the occasion, said the bank has adopted 75 villages for digitization, opened special counter in 75 places for facilitating better services to senior citizens besides several other initiatives on the occasion of the 75th anniversary. It has also sanctioned 75 loans under the MUDRA scheme. The bank has also organized an overseas customers’ meet, several CSR activities, free health and eye check-ups in various parts of the country. It organized a tree plantation drive in coordination with West Bengal forest department by planting saplings of teak, mahogany and neem trees.
