Syndicate Bank opened a National Processing Center in Manipal as part of its project Ananya, which is a large scale transformation program launched by the bank. Arun Shrivastava, MD and CEO of the bank, inaugurated the center. The center is a state-of-the-art, digitally enabled hub that will cater to a number of processes for branches across the country. The opening of accounts is already being shifted from branches to this center and has resulted in increased efficiency and standardization, while helping the branches focus more on sales, claimed the bank. The bank now plans to set up another such center to cater to branches in north India. The center will be also handle service requests, account maintenance and alternate channel issuance and activation. Shrivastava said the bank had embarked on Project Ananya to ensure that customers are provided with faster and dedicated services while improving and modernizing the whole bank. Project Ananya has four key pillars – Business Process Re-engineering, Digital Banking, Sales and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and HR development.
