Sidbi has set the target of Rs 1,80,000 crore for disbursal under the MUDRA scheme during 2016-17. In 2015-16, Rs 1,37,000 crore was sanctioned and Rs 1,32,000 was disbursed under the scheme to 24.8 million beneficiaries. The MUDRA ecosystem has 163 partners spanning commercial banks and refinance institutions. Sidbi had sanctioned and disbursed over Rs 3783 crore and Rs 3337 crore respectively directly as refinance under MUDRA scheme. Sidbi has also created a Rs 2000 crore India Aspiration Fund (IAF) as ‘fund of funds’ for making investments in Venture Capital Funds (VCF). VDFs are expected to invest in MSME to the extent of twice the commitment of Sidbi or 50% of the corpus of the VCF, whichever is more.
