Federal Bank has a new part-time chairman – Nilesh Shivji Vikamsey. His appointment to the position has been approved by RBI. He succeeds Abraham Koshy, who retired from the board on completion of his term of eight years. Vikamsey joined the bank’s board in June 2011 as an independent director. He was instrumental in ushering in professionalism and good governance in various areas particularly inspection, audit, accountancy, and credit practices, a bank release said. A chartered accountant by profession, Vikamsey is a member of the Central Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India ( ICAI) for the last five years.
