Vijaya Bank is expanding its technology platform and plans to bring in 17 lakh additional customers on this platform in the next six months, according to Kishore Sansi, the new MD and CEO Of the bank. The bank has around 50 lakh savings bank accounts while customers who make use of the internet banking platform among them is just around 3 lakh. The bank also intends to scale up the distribution of debit cards and would provide debit cards to at least 4.5 million customers from the present 3 million.
