Usha Ananthasubramanian, MD and CEO at Allahabad Bank, has become the chairman of the Indian Banks Association. She is the first woman chairman of IBA. IBA said in a statement its managing committee at a meeting had elected Usha Ananthasubramanian as the chairman till August as she will be retiring from the bank on 31 August. Jatinder Bir Singh, CMD of Punjab and Sind Bank had been the chairman of IBA and Usha Ananthasubramanian deputy chairmen. Singh had retired in December 2017.
