Union Bank of India has NPAs worth about Rs 3350 crore from 20 defaulters. This has been revealed in a reply to an RTI query. The bank declined to share the names of the defaulters. It said the amount involved in the top 20 NPA accounts as of 31 December 2013, is Rs 3350.17 crore. Four other banks – State Bank of India, Bank of India, Central Bank of India and Indian Overseas Bank – declined to share information on the amount of NPAs and list of borrowers.
