Reliance Jio Infocomm (R-Jio) has launched its digital wallet app JioMoney on Google Play Store. JioMoney, a semi-closed prepaid wallet, can be used to recharge mobile and DTH services, send and receive money, pay bills and insurance etc. According to a report, the company has tied up with over 50,000 online merchants for the service. Customers can use JioMoney digital wallet or any other credit/debit card directly from the wallet to pay merchant seamlessly and instantly. It gives consumers the option of opening a digital bank account or linking their existing account. According to the company, the benefits for the merchants include integrated billing & payment system, inventory management, online ordering, accounts and book keeping, customer profile, credit and campaign management.
