Pramod Ramkrishna Karnad, a veteran cooperative banker, has been appointed chairman of the Sharad Sahakari Bank’s Board of Management (BoM). Karnad has over 40 years of experience and is currently associated with a number of cooperative banks in various capacities. He is a Beed DCCB administrator, the Managing Director of Deccan Merchants Cooperative Bank in Mumbai, and a consultant to Mumbai DCCB. He was the Managing Director of MSC Bank and a director for two terms of NAFSCOB (National Federation of State Cooperative Banks).
Karnad has been a speaker/moderator in annual FCBA Awards of the Banking Frontiers group. Karnad has also been a trainer, jury in cooperative workshops, and an interview panellist for CEO appointments. He has done MCom, LLB, and had stood first class first in order of merit at Shivaji University for DBM exam and also in HDC and GDC&A exam, held by DGCTC and the government of Maharashtra respectively. He has written five Marathi novels, two poetry collections, and has three self-composed music albums to his credit.
