Phoenix TechnoCyber has now been empanelled by the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In), which takes it to a higher level and opens doors for it to audit and assess banking institutions regulated by RBI, government, stockbroker firms regulated by SEBI and insurance companies regulated by IRDAI.
CERT-In, under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology of the Govt. of India, has been designated to serve as the national nodal agency to deal with cyber security threats like hacking and phishing. CERT-In’s primary role is to raise cyber security awareness, provide technical support and advise organizations within the country to recover from cyber security incidents. As a part of the qualification process, the auditors are selected via a strict 4-step empanelment procedure.
Ravi Raval, Director at Phoenix TechnoCyber says: “We already work with 200+ banking clients and corporates in different sectors like pharmaceutical, manufacturing, trading, etc, and this empanelment is a valued recognition of the hard work and experience that our team of auditors has put in.”
The empanelment by CERT-In empowers Phoenix TechnoCyber to offer its cybersecurity solutions, carry out IT security audits, including vulnerability assessment and penetration testing (VAPT), ISMS Compliance Assessments, Security Operations Centre (SOC), etc, of central and state governments, banks, public sectors, and corporate organizations.
From risk analysis to the elimination of security vulnerabilities and the overall resilience of business operations, Phoenix TechnoCyber in India offers services across all 4 pillars – enterprise security, data security, transactional security, and industrial security in the cyber security domain.
Ravi added: “The CERT-In empanelment is a major milestone in our journey to becoming the preferred partner for enterprises when it comes to security, which is a top priority in today’s digitally connected world.”
This empanelment authorizes Phoenix TechnoCyber in offering services like web application security testing, mobile application security testing, ISMS internal audit, and RBI, SEBI, IRDA, and other regulatory compliance audits to mitigate cyber security risks and ensure data protection. The audits will be performed as per ‘The Terms and Conditions of Empanelment’ as issued by CERT-In from time to time and published on the CERT-In website.
Founded in 2014, Phoenix TechnoCyber has 30+ employees who continually improve technology and systems and gain expertise. It has set up a security operations centre (SOC) with access to advanced technology and AI/ML tools to track and mitigate potential online threats accompanied by 24×7 monitoring.
