DBS Bank India has appointed Niraj Mittal as the MD and head of Institutional Banking for the country. He has been entrusted with the task of scaling up the bank’s business with institutional clients by driving both new client acquisition and deepening existing relationships, the bank said in a statement. He will report to Jeanette Wong, group executive and head of Institutional Banking Group in Singapore and Surojit Shome, CEO of DBS India. Mittal joins DBS from the Royal Bank of Scotland, where he MD and head of Institutional Banking Business (North India). In a career spanning 28 years, he brings with him extensive experience in corporate and institutional banking with several leading international banks, including ABN Amro Bank and ANZ Grindlays Bank.
