Former SEBI chairman U.K. Sinha has been appointed as a senior advisor of law firm Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas and he will head the corporate governance center mooted by the law firm. The initiatives of the center will include providing specialized, bespoke board advisory services, assisting companies in setting up internal governance procedures and controls. Among other initiatives are, the representation in shareholder or activist engagements engaging with Indian and international stakeholders and training of board members and senior management. at SEBI, Sinha has been responsible for several key reform measures in the capital market, including stringent disclosure norms, reforms in the mutual funds and in the primary market.
