DCB Bank is planning to upgrade its entire 400-plus ATMs with Aadhaar-based functionality in the next six months, according to the bank’s chairman Nasser Munjee. The bank has launched such kind of Aadhaar-based ‘card-less and PIN-less’ ATM in Bengaluru. The ATM accepts Aadhaar number and Aadhaar fingerprint (biometric) instead of ATM/debit card and PIN to dispense cash from the bank account. Earlier the bank had launched such Aadhaar-based ATMs Mumbai, Odisha and Punjab. Currently, only DCB Bank customers will be able to use the facility.
