DCB Bank to have 250 branches

DCB Bank said it is planning to have 250 braches across the country in the next three years. The bank opened its 145th branch in Vallabh Vidyanagar in Anand, the 23rd in Gujarat. Murali M. Natrajan, MD and CEO of the bank, said the bank is planning to open 30-35 new branches every year and is aiming at 250 branches in next 3 years. The bank has a balance sheet size of Rs 13000 crore and the management is aiming to double the same in 3-3.5 years, he added. Of the total balance sheet size, about Rs 9000 crore is that of loans and advances. Natrajan said Gujarat forms 10% to 11% of the bank’s operations with roughly Rs 1000 crore worth deposits and Rs 900 crore worth loans. He added that 40% of loans and advances going towards mortgages, of which most of it goes towards self-employed.
