Credit Suisse has laid out plans to cut 163 employees at its New York office, as part of a restructuring plan under new CEO Tidjane Thiam. The bank said the cuts will be effective May. In February, the bank made a total of around 200 job cuts in its London-based operations. It had accelerated a cost saving drive to lock in 1.2 billion of the targeted 3.5 billion francs by 2018, with around 4000 jobs being cut.
