Commercial Bank of Ceylon opens office in Maldives

Commercial Bank of Ceylon has started operations of its subsidiary, Commercial Bank of Maldives in Male. The bank had set up the subsidiary in partnership with a Maldivian company, which is involved in businesses ranging from financial services to hotel and tourism and retailing. The bank has 55% stake in the JV, which is offering a variety of financial services including savings and current accounts, FDs, ATMs, remittances, housing and other loans.
