Competition Commission of India is examining the Rs 15,000-crore merger deal between Kotak Mahindra Bank and ING Vysya Bank, announced in November 2014. The proposal has received shareholders’ approval. CCI chairman Ashok Chawla said the companies have notified the regulator about their deal and it is being examined by CCI. The merged entity would be the fourth largest private sector bank in the country.
