Bank of India goes live on IT’s Tin 2.0


Bank of India has become the first public sector bank to go live on income tax (IT) department’s new direct tax collection system Tin 2.0.With the technological integration of BOI on the TIN 2.0 platform, taxpayers will now have a single platform for tax payment as well as e-filing of tax returns. Taxpayers can also make direct tax payments at any of the country’s 5000+ BOI branches. The process is simple and quick, allowing taxpayers to make payments at their convenience in just a few clicks.

BOI’s general manager, government business, D S Shekhawat said that the bank is actively looking for avenues in the digital sphere to ensure seamless services to its customers. “Since the digital ecosystem is growing rapidly across the country, we believe that the taxpayers will welcome and appreciate our sincere effort to bring forward a hassle-free tax payment mode for their superior convenience. We are greatly thankful for all the support provided by additional director, income tax department, Vivek Upadhayay in our endeavour.”
