IndusInd Bank has launched a service called QuickPay, which enables its customers to send money instantly to their personal contacts and/or business parties through SMS, e-mail and social media. The customer need not provide bank account details in order to avail of the service. A sender can transfer money and a personalized message through net banking from the bank’s website by just filling the e-mail ID or mobile number of the receiver. The customers can also send e-Gift Cards to anyone, anywhere, anytime, said the bank said in a statement. The sender gets a ‘quick code’ that is shared with the recipient. Quickpay transactions are done through IMPS of NPCI. Ritesh Raj Saxena, head (Savings, Digital & Payments Business) of the bank said QuickPay is aimed at delighting customers in the digital age as today’s digitally-savvy customers expect payments to happen instantly. This service empowers consumers to send money on real time basis.
