State Bank of India presented Rs 9,82,881 to Pranab Kanya Sangha of Port Blair, a social organization working towards the uplift of the downtrodden people of the society especially women and children. The amount will be used for the purchase of a school bus for transporting school going children of the Sangha. B Sriram, MD & GE (NB), presented the cheque to the office bearers of the Sangha. The donation is part of the bank’s CSR activity. Ashwini Mehra, DMD & CDO and Prashant Kumar, CGM, Kolkata Circle, were present on the occasion. The Sangha provides home and care to orphan children, especially girls.
