Bank of Baroda (Kenya), a subsidiary of Bank of Baroda, has opened its branch in Meru, Kenya. With the opening of this branch, the bank has 11 branches in Kenya. This is also the 103rd overseas branch/office of Bank of Baroda. These 103 offices comprise 60 overseas branches of BoB, 42 branches of its overseas subsidiaries and one representative office. The bank has operations in 24 countries. The bank’s overseas business in FY14 contributed 32.6% to its total business and 24.2% to gross profit. The bank is now planning to enter new countries offering opportunities for profitable growth of business. Necessary infrastructure is being created for further expanding the network in UAE, UK, Kenya, Tanzania and Ghana.
