YES Bank has partnered with Universal Music Group for the music festival ‘Bacardi Enchanted Valley Carnival’. The bank will be the banking partner and provide cashless payment solutions for the visitors. Bacardi EVC, which will be held from 17 to 20 December at Aamby Valley City, Lonavala, is a highly sought after music festival for discerning music enthusiasts and is expected to be attended by 15,000 visitors with world-class artists like Tiesto, Oliver Heldens, Fatboy Slim and Far East Movement performing. The bank will facilitate cashless payments by using “Wrist Bands” which can be loaded at various collection points at the festival, and can then be used for making any kind of payment with a simple tap. This would be the first-time-ever that a bank is offering its technology prowess for a festival. Devraj Sanyal, MD & CEO, Universal Music Group & EMI Music, South Asia, said making Bacardi Enchanted Valley Carnival cashless will be a first mover in this part of the world and having a partner like YES Bank to invest in the technology that supports and run this will add a level of sophistication to the journey of any festival goer.
