Wipro has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Chennai-based Encore Theme Technologies, a SaaS and Cloud solutions for financial services firm. Wipro is paying ₹950 million in cash for the acquisition, according to a regulatory filing. The deal is expected to be completed during the quarter ending 31 December 2020. Encore Theme focuses on implementing a suite of trade finance solutions, developed by Finastra, one of the world’s largest fintech, to financial institutions across West Asia, Africa, India, and the Asia Pacific. Wipro is a global strategic partner of Finastra.
