Wells Fargo may select Paris or Dublin for its post-Brexit hubs in Europe. The bank becomes the first global bank ready to shift operations out of London. The bank may conduct its European business that could no longer be done in the UK after the country leaves the EU would be conducted in both the French and Irish capitals. However, no final decision has been taken by the US bank. Another US bank Goldman Sachs is dividing its operations post-Brexit between Paris and Frankfurt while Bank of America Merrill Lynch has chosen Paris and Dublin. Amsterdam, Brussels and Luxembourg are among the other locations that have attracted banks from the UK.
