Utkarsh Small Finance Bank has launched its first Mumbai branch in Chembur. Now with 37 existing JLG branches, the bank has presence in 9 districts of Maharashtra. It started its banking operations in January 2017. As an NBFC-MFI, Utkarsh had 374 Branches pan India. Kajal Ghose, independent director of the bank, and Dr M.L. Sukhdeve, chairman of Maharashtra State Cooperative Bank, inaugurated the branch. Ghose said the bank has plans to cater to MSME segment and will meet their needs at reduced costs. Govind Singh, MD & CEO of the bank, said the bank intends to offer the entire gamut of financial services including credit, savings, investments and insurance products to customers across Maharashtra.
