Pakistan’s United Bank and China’s Industrial & Commercial Bank of China have entered into a memorandum of understanding, setting out conceptual framework and guiding principles for cooperation between the two banks. ICBC will benefit from United Bank’s large presence and banking experience in Pakistan. United Bank will be able to leverage the dominant position that ICBC enjoys in China and explore business avenues to further the bank’s strategic business objectives.
