Thailand’s Krungsri Bank has concluded an agreement with IBM for digital transformation of the bank. The contract is worth $140 million and will see that Krungsri is able to offer digital banking services. It is one of Thailand’s leading banks with 8.6 million credit cards, sales finance, and personal loan accounts. Krungsri’s president and CEO Noriaki Goto said the bank’s vision of becoming a digital banking and innovation leader requires that it has to have strong and stable technology partners. The extended IBM Services agreement ensures the bank’s technology platform is not only stable but can thrive through the introduction of new technologies such as AI, cloud, and blockchain as we build out the best digital bank in Thailand, he added.
