South Africa’s Standard Bank is launching ‘Always On’ banking with the help of WeChat social media platform. This will be the first time in South Africa that such a facility is being offered. The bank said ‘Always On’ gives its customers 24-hour access to a dedicated virtual banking team to enable always on banking anytime and anywhere. WeChat app is also available on SmartWatch. The solution will be available to the bank’s prestige and private banking clients. Always On will give the bank’s clients immediate real-time access to their banker wherever they are, and it gives the banking group an even better way to respond swiftly and personally to the needs of customers.
