The ATM Industry Association has appointed Srinivasa Katuri, MD and CEO, Transaction Analysts as a honorary member of its board and acting co-chair for the India chapter. He has many years of experience in the payments industry in both the USA and India and has strong associations with IDRBT, NPCI, and large financial institutions in India. ATMIA India and the Middle East executive director Patrick Cunningham said Katuri’s knowledge of the payments industry in India will certainly enhance the promotion of ATMIA and membership of the association. His expertise will help ATMIA to provide its members with a wide range of services and benefits that will be of great advantage to all stakeholders in the Indian market, he said. NPCI CEO A.P.Hota said Katuri is out and out a hands-on person in ATM and payments technology and his presence will help ATMIA to address the burning industry issue of increasing frauds in ATM channel.Srini can contribute from his USA and India experience to ATMIA and receive several global perspectives, which could be disseminated to the Banking sector through his association with IDRBT, IDRBT director Dr. A.S. Ramasastri said.
