Sidbi has launched Sidbi Startup Mitra intended to scale up its initiatives in developing MSMEs. President Pranab Mukherjee launched the platform, which will help entrepreneurs to get connected with various stakeholders like incubators, angel investors, venture capital funds and other fund providing agencies. The president said the initiative is in line with the objective of the government in forging innovation-led growth through various measures, including start-up action plan and Atal Innovation Mission. Sidbi also organized a roundtable discussion on ‘Financing Innovations’ as part of Festival of Innovations being held at Rashtrapati Bhavan where banking and financial services professionals participated. Some of the topics discussed at the session were better participation by banks in financing innovation and creating policy at board level, enhancing domestic pool of capital for startups and establishment of the National Innovation Promotion Board.
