State Bank of India launched its Twitter handle. This follows the earlier launch of SBI account on Facebook and YouTube. These initiatives allow the customers of the bank to have access through all the major social media channels. The Twitter handle is https://twitter.com/TheOfficialSBI. Targeting its huge customer base as well as potential customers, there will be round-the-clock tweets on the bank’s products and services, as also continuous education of the customers. The content will also be made more broadbased later on. The bank expects this Twitter handle to connect better with the tech-savvy young generation. With its strong online banking platform; this is another step towards increasing its presence in the cyberspace. The formal launch of the facility was attended by the bank’s DMD and chief information officer N. Jambunathan, CGM-Executive Support Service Kajal Ghose, GM (ABR) S.M. Jha, and other officials.
