State Bank of India has launched an enterprisewide loyalty program – State Bank Rewardz – on the occasion of its 60th anniversay on 1 July. Through this rewards program, the bank will reward its customers for various types of banking transactions with the bank. Arundhati Bhattacharya, chairman of the bank, said through this exciting initiative, the bank envisions to strengthen its relationship with its customers by recognizing their continued faith and long term association with the bank through various channels by providing instant gratification. Customers of the bank will be enrolled automatically for this program as soon as they start using at least one of the services that offer loyalty points. Customers will be incentivized for carrying out transactions across all major channels. The bank has introduced a mobilen app for the purpose, called State Bank Rewardz, which can be downloaded through Play Store and customers can register for the program in simple steps. According to the bank, the app is the first in the country exclusively for a loyalty program. For encouraging the customers for using it, the bank will provide 100 reward points for downloading the app and registering for the program. The bank is offering a wide range of redemption options with more than 6000 merchant outlets and major online merchants where customers earn and redeem their points instantly. Important categories are merchandise, flight tickets, mobile and DTH recharge, SBI gift cards, music and grocery.
