The RBI stated in a directive that all banks, ATM networks, and White Label ATM Operators (WLAOs) may offer Interoperable Cardless Cash Withdrawal (ICCW) at their ATMs.
The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has been advised to facilitate UPI integration with all banks and ATM networks. While UPI will be used for customer authorization, settlement will take place through the National Financial Switch (NFS)/ATM networks. On-us / off-us ICCW transactions will be processed without the imposition of any charges other than those specified in the interchange fee and customer charges circular. The directive has been sent to the chairman and managing director / chief executive officer of scheduled commercial banks, which include RRBs, urban co-operative banks, state co-operative banks, district central co-operative banks, payment banks, small finance banks, NPCI/ATM Networks, and WLAOs.
Withdrawal limits for ICCW transactions will be the same as those for regular on-us / off-us ATM withdrawals. All other instructions concerning the harmonisation of turnaround time (TAT) and customer compensation for failed transactions remain in effect.
