P. Pradeep Kumar has been appointed managing director and group executive (Corporate Banking) of State Bank of India. He will be in charge of the corporate banking portfolio of the bank. He will hold the position till the end of October 2015. He has been the deputy managing director in chrage of corporate banking and project finance of the bank. A post graduate in statistics, he had joined SBI in 1976 as a probationary officer. He has held several key assignments, which includes the bank’s US operations. He has served State Bank of Travancore as its managing director. The other three managing directors at present are K. Krishna Kumar, who is in charge of the national banking, Hemant Contractor holding responsibility for the global banking and A. Vishwanathan subsidiaries and associates. R.K. Saraf, who is a deputy managing director, will continue to hold the charge of CFO. The top management of State Bank of India includes a Chairman, 4 managing directors, more than 12 deputy managing directors and about 35 chief general managers.
