The Reserve Bank of India is coming out with a new Rs 50 denomination banknotes signed by its governor Shaktikanta Das. The new banknotes will be in Mahatma Gandhi new series and the design is similar in all respects to the existing banknotes. The central bank said all banknotes in the denomination of Rs 50 issued by it in the past will continue to be legal tender.
