MasterCard ranks 7 in diversity list

image001MasterCard has ranked 7 in DiversityInc’s 2016 Top 50 Companies for Diversity list. This is the fourth consecutive year MasterCard has been ranked in the top 10 for its commitment to diversity and inclusion. DiversityInc’s annual survey tracks the top companies of U.S. when it comes to hiring, retaining and promoting women, minorities, people with disabilities, LGBT and veterans. MasterCard has also been recognized on three of the 2016 Specialty Lists under Recruitment (rank 8), Diversity Council (rank 10) and Global Diversity (rank 12). MasterCard firmly believes that diversity and inclusion drives better business, MasterCard said in press release. MasterCard has put an increased focus on its eight resource groups, which is called ‘Business Resource Groups (BRGs)’. The idea of these BRGs is to nurture an inclusive culture where employees with wide-ranging backgrounds and qualities find themselves highly motivated, engaged, and connected. About half of MasterCard’s employees worldwide participate in these groups, of which there are 52 chapters worldwide, it said. Currently MaterCard has 11,300 employees globally.
