A.P. Mahesh Cooperative Urban Bank Ltd., founded in 1978, has celebrated its 45th Foundation Day at its new Head Office, Road No.12, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad in the pleasant ambience on 9th August, 2022. Sri Mahesh Chandra Laddha, IPS, Inspector General of Police, Central Reserve Police Force, Southern Sector and Sri Pramod Vijayvargia, General Manager, SIDBI, Hyderabad Regional Office graced the occasion as Chief Guests.
Ramesh Kumar Bung, Chairman of the Bank, Purshotamdas Mandhana, Sr. Vice-Chairman, Laxminarayan Rathi, Vice-Chairman all the directors on the board, Raghurama Shetty MD & CEO, former directors, employees from various branches, executives participated in the function. The program commenced with lighting the lamp by distinguished guests.
In his inaugural address, Sri Ramesh Kumar Bung said that the bank has surpassed the business mix of Rs.3795 crores and the owned funds of the bank crossed Rs.390 crores for the Financial Year ending 31.3.2022 and registered a profit of Rs. 44 crores. The bank is functioning with a network of 45 branches covering 4 states – Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Rajasthan with 19 ATMs.
Bung said that in today’s business, more particularly in banking, relies on IT to deliver innovative solutions and to solve complex business problems and it is a hot topic in the industry to accelerate digital transformation, since technology has become an integral and strategic part of country’s banking sector. The bank has ambitious plans to introduce e-KYC facility Aadhar Pay, Bharat QR Code, Prepaid Payment Instruments, Artificial Intelligence Enabled BOT solution, Tab Banking & Loan origination System etc.
Raghurama Shetty, MD & CEO, spoke about latest trends of banking and said that new technologies have emerged and play a pivotal role in the future banking. He advised the staff to equip themselves with the latest developments in banking technology and have full knowledge of products to educate the customers for using the same.
Speaking on the occasion Mahesh Chandra Laddha, IPS stated that he had a long association with Mahesh Bank since 1997-98 and recognized it as a symbol of spirit of cooperative movement in the banking sector. With its strong reserves Mahesh Bank has continued its unprecedented journey with remarkable performance. He complimented the Board of Directors for the growth of the bank.
Pramod Vijayvargia opined that digital transformation is very significant in the banking sector and Mahesh Bank has already on this path. He anticipated further enormous growth of bank in the coming days. He recognized Mahesh Bank as being more responsive towards its clients and to the society.
Later, the guests released the special issue of ‘Hamara Prayas’, a monthly magazine brought out by the bank. The guests also distributed awards to the best performing branch managers.
